  • 11 months, 2 weeks ago by Luc Saffre about #1162 (A CMS using Lino) : Doing CMS with Lino is a crazy idea, it's probably as crazy as doing accounting with Lino. I'm having fun with #6447 (Sprint: Migrate laudate.ee from Sphinx to Lino), but it's frightening to see how much there is to do. There is Drupal, there is Wagtail... at least two good free CMS frameworks.
  • 3 years ago by Luc Saffre about #1162 (A CMS using Lino) : I wrote an [url lino-framework.gitlab.io/cms/ introduction to Lino CMS].

  • 5 years, 9 months ago by Luc Saffre about #1162 (A CMS using Lino) : The test suite passes, I will start to commit now.
  • 5 years, 9 months ago by Luc Saffre about #1162 (A CMS using Lino) : The results are getting better. You will be able to see them in lino_book.projects.cms when I will have committed my work. It works now with extjs, bootstrap and react. New attribute Site.use_auth can be set to False in order to deactivate any login possibility. ExtJS now allows to switch language m...
  • 5 years, 9 months ago by Luc Saffre about #1162 (A CMS using Lino) : After some fiddling around I finally skip the two show_dashboard tests again because they are difficult to maintain (because some content like natural time depends on the time when the test is being run).
  • 5 years, 9 months ago by Luc Saffre about #1162 (A CMS using Lino) : show_dashboard is now in lino.api.doctest (no longer a method on BaseRequest) because it is used only for doctests. And it now renders the full main page, incluing welcome messages. So actually the coverage inreases. It is less beautiful than before because it uses html2text to convert the html to t...
  • 5 years, 9 months ago by Luc Saffre about #1162 (A CMS using Lino) : ActorItem.render() now yields html chunks instead of etree elements. Advantage: publisher or comments (where we do have already valid html) would otherwise have to parse their html into an etree element. Side effect: show_dashboard() no longer works (easily) in doctests.
  • 5 years, 9 months ago by Luc Saffre about #1162 (A CMS using Lino) : Uff, seems that I fixed ll side effects of my internal change (DashboardItem.render() returns html strings, not etre elements). I continued with my vision for the Lino CMS using the publisher.Publishable mixin.
  • 5 years, 9 months ago by Luc Saffre about #1162 (A CMS using Lino) : I am still stuck with a series of local changes where something is still boken in the rendering of the dashboard. Getting "TypeError: int() argument must be a string, a bytes-like object or a number, not 'AnonymousUser'" although I am signed in as robin. Also "AttributeError: 'ActionRequest' object ...
  • 5 years, 9 months ago by Luc Saffre about #1162 (A CMS using Lino) : I am trying to combine the publisher plugin and the front end. Had some promising results already. But the whole vision is still not visible. I also started an internal change: DashboardItem.render() now yields html strings instead of etree elements. Here be dragons.
