Commentaires

• 5 ans, 2 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : I am considering whether an Order should be itself (potentially) an invoice. There might be applications where we want this. OTOH that makes no sense if an order is an invoice generator...
• 5 ans, 2 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : I realized that in Noi we want the structure Partner <- Order <--Site <-- Ticket, but we want the opposite relation between Order and Site (one SLA can have multiple projects (Site), not the opposite.
• 5 ans, 2 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : Yes, [url lino-amici.herokuapp.com] works. I had some strange error messages when trying the first time, but atm they are gone. Hitting [Shift+Ctrl-R] seems relatively slow (>10s) while simply [Ctrl-R] is rather quick (2s). I suggest to make it multilingual (languages = "en de fr bn").
• 5 ans, 2 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : I ran git pull and inv bd pd, so your work is now rendered on [url hosting.lino-framework.org/heroku/]
• 5 ans, 2 mois ago by Sharif Mehedi about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : In a few minutes amici should be available on heroku under the name: lino-amici.herokuapp.com
• 5 ans, 2 mois ago by Sharif Mehedi about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : I wrote a little bit about how to deploy on heroku in hg/docs/heroku.rst
• 5 ans, 2 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : Rename Renderer.hide_dashboard_items to support_dashboard_layout, and ignore use_dashboard_layout when the renderer doesn't support it.
• 5 ans, 2 mois ago by Sharif Mehedi about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : Heroku allow integration with github projects but NOT gitlab. I suppose we can use github.com/lino-framework.
• 5 ans, 2 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : Last things: quick links are missing on heroku. Add is_demo_site = True to the settings.py. Create the template project on GL.
• 5 ans, 2 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : Fix the LV issue on heroku. And then document it. Maybe define a few more demo sites on heroku. And update the demos.rst page in the lf repository.
• 5 ans, 2 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : One dyno costs 7$/month on Heroku.... that's more than a VPS on OVH or Hetzner!
• 5 ans, 2 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : The ultimate "done" might be that the help buttons on heroku correctly open the help pages (which are not yet always very useful, but that's another ticket).
• 5 ans, 3 mois ago by Sharif Mehedi about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : lino-noi is up on heroku @ warm-reef-91483.herokuapp.com/ . But unfortunately we cannot do much but just visit the home page. Because trying to visit anything that pulls database content raise error related to SSL SYSCALL. heroku gives SSL to paid dynos, we can also add SSL certificate to our app ma...
• 5 ans, 3 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : I assigned this to @8lurry because there is programming work to do. We first need to get a series of demo sites to run on Heroku before documenting how to do it.
• 5 ans, 3 mois ago by Sharif Mehedi about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : what we are categorizing here as media files (the files in the media/cache) are not really media files they are sort of like static files. In django media files means only the user uploaded files which we also have in the media dir (to be precise: media/uploads dir). My thought regarding this overal...
• 5 ans, 3 mois ago by Sharif Mehedi about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : A suggestion from whitenoise documentation about serving media files: whitenoise.evans.io/en/stable/django.html#serving-media-files
• 5 ans, 3 mois ago by Sharif Mehedi about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : one solution would be to have both the media and static directory combined in one directory
• 5 ans, 3 mois ago by Sharif Mehedi about #2480 (Document how to host a Lino application on heroku) : it seems heroku does not allow any static url (for media dir) on production server. We need to figure out some other way to fix this.
