#3502 (Customized calendar views (calview))
by Luc Saffre · in Developers · assigned to Luc Saffre
Résumé
For Presto they want a weekly calendar view showing workers as rows. Making this (and similar) customization possible requires some refactoring of the calview plugin.
Concepts sous-jacents
- #4173 (Daily view of [Workers planner] shows all entries also in "All workers") (by Luc Saffre in Developers assigned to Luc Saffre)

- 5 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3502 (Customized calendar views (calview)) : The calendar navigation panel (and also the tree and standard navigation panels) should be "dockable", similar to the parameters panel. Note that we can have both a parameter and a navigation panel.
- 5 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3502 (Customized calendar views (calview)) : The calview is still quite ugly in React, and obviously not very usable from a mobile device. We can watch it e.g. in the roger demo project. On cal.Event there should be an action that opens the calendar view on the day (or week or month) of this calendar entry.
- 5 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3502 (Customized calendar views (calview)) : This ticket is one possible answer to #3144 : if we manage to have an acceptable and mobile-friendly calendar client in Lino, this would provide best integration. Which doesn't mean that integration with third-party calendar servers becomes useless. The decision will always depend on the customer.
- 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3502 (Customized calendar views (calview)) : Wow, this was a deep dive! Almost done (i hope), I started the test suite on my machine before pushing.
- 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3502 (Customized calendar views (calview)) : Another problem is that the filter parameters are being ignored. Working on it.
- 6 ans, 7 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3502 (Customized calendar views (calview)) : There is still a problem with navigation. Daily links in monthly view didn't work.
- 6 ans, 7 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3502 (Customized calendar views (calview)) : Almost ready for publishing my changes. Writing the docstring for ar.get_insert_button().
- 6 ans, 8 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3502 (Customized calendar views (calview)) : Workers planner has now "All workers" instead of "All day" in the header row. Next thing to do is to customize the insert buttons : in a weekly workers planner the insert button isn't in the header but in each row. Also we will need more custom things like a "toggle absent" action.
- 6 ans, 8 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3502 (Customized calendar views (calview)) : Yes, proof of concept passed: I now have two "calendar" entries in Presto: the standard calendar view and the "workers calendar", which currently has only a weekly view. TODO: iron out the subtle details...
- 6 ans, 8 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3502 (Customized calendar views (calview)) : Uff: got it work using calview.Navigators choicelist. Tomorrow we'll see whether my idea fixes the problem...
- 6 ans, 8 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3502 (Customized calendar views (calview)) : I wonder whether the PlannerByDay (DailyPlanner) is being actually used in welcht.
- 6 ans, 8 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3502 (Customized calendar views (calview)) : Advancing, I am optimistic, but still not ready to commit. Actually we need one set of the three calendar views (M/W/D) for each Plannable.
- 6 ans, 8 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3502 (Customized calendar views (calview)) : It starts to work again. I must now probably define the custom parameters of presto WorkersByWeek. At least the parameters used by calendar_fmt() need to be there. Or alternatively use another formatting method than Event.calendar_fmt()...
- 6 ans, 8 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3502 (Customized calendar views (calview)) : The parameters of a calview calendar view are currently "forwarded" to the slave request on the calendar entries. But for Presto we -sometimes- want to filter the rows themselves.
