• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre in reply to khchine5 about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : The extra_hours field is dynamically created from the ReportingTypes choicelist. I guess that you didn't have the local workflows module loaded when you wrote the dump (or the opposite).
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by khchine5 about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : I can't login because for some reason the login field in the form didn't show what I tape . It is strange

• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by khchine5 about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : Timezones was missing. Added workflows.py for this.

• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : IOW look at the beginning of the failures and modify the restore.py accordingly.
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : Check *why* there are so many deferred objects. This is actually not normal, and usually caused by some object that failed to save because of some migration problem.
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by khchine5 about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : Getting the exception Exception: More than 1000 deferred objects

• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by khchine5 about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : I choose to use mariadb but I don't have the file /usr/bin/mysql_config
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by khchine5 about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : Getting an error '/usr/bin/mysql_config': File exists
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : First create jane with getlino and --dev-repos (but not --clone) and --fron-end react. This will create an env directory below the site. The server must not have a shared environment (iow the master environment contains only getlino, not any repository). And for ejane you must create it manually, si...
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : So actually you proceed as described in [url www.lino-framework.org/admin/move.html].
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : The backup service remains on SR, also the static sites (e.g. www.saffre-rumma.net, generated using Nikola). We are going to use jane.mylino.net and ejane.mylino.net.
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : I sent an email to support@hetzner.com introducing myself and suggesting yearly invoicing method.
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : Voilà, Hamza, you can start setting up hetz1 to host jane (react) and and ejane (extjs) in a first step, probably followed by froinde soon. Not yet sure about the domain name. Maybe leave SR to point at the old server and define "jane.mylino.net", "ejane.mylino.net" and "froinde.mylino.net"?
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : Less urgent : Hamza and Tonis should create their account at hetzner.de and then I'll give them owner rights to our server as well.
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : I created three maintainers luc, tonis and hamza on the new server "hetz1" (according to [url www.lino-framework.org/admin/root.html], which I optimzed en passant). I added your ssh keys, so you should be able to ssh. Ask me for your password (which you will need to sudo)..
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : Server created. I can log in as root@95.217.218.29 (I gave them my public ssh key before creating the server).
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : Debian or Ubuntu? I choose Debian this time because two days ago I read a blog post that said it would make sense if Microsoft would buy Ubuntu...

• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : Regarding Amazon my feeling says clearly "no". I don't want to support a company located in a country governed by this president. And another example: The German Wikipedia entry about AWS has its own section [url de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon_Web_Services#Kritik Critics] which cites serious security ...
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : Regarding which data center to use : Stay fully with OVH, or try another center? A friend of mine recently recommented [url www.hetzner.com/cloud hetzner] in Germany. Looks sympathic. Or should we try Amazon?
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : Regarding #3641 I did some more research. Summary nginx is theroretically the better choice (according to [url t3n.de/news/nginx-vs-apache-814684/ this article in German]). The only argument for Apache is that some hosting providers don't have nginx (an argument that doesn't apply to our situation).
• 6 ans, 5 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #3649 (Move hobbit/jane from SR to the new hetz1 server) : Reason : #3642 seems to be a nasty side effect of the LINO_SITE_MODULE magic, which I declare as deprecated. So instead of investing even more time into demonstrating why this approach was bad, let's make another exercise of setting up a new Lion server and move SR to it.
