• 4 ans, 10 mois ago by Luc Saffre in reply to Luc Saffre about #4401 (ImportError: cannot import name 'escape' from 'cgi' (/usr/lib/python3.8/cgi.py)) : Etymology for "attaboy": probably alteration of "that's the boy". First known use in 1909 (according to [url www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/attaboy].

• 4 ans, 10 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #4401 (ImportError: cannot import name 'escape' from 'cgi' (/usr/lib/python3.8/cgi.py)) : As a quick fix I moved the docstrings from etgen.html to [url etgen.lino-framework.org/usage.html].
• 4 ans, 10 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #4401 (ImportError: cannot import name 'escape' from 'cgi' (/usr/lib/python3.8/cgi.py)) : The etgen docs are really poor at the moment. Nobody would understand what the etgen package does. They need a fundamental redesign. I guess that you prefer me do this.

• 4 ans, 10 mois ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4401 (ImportError: cannot import name 'escape' from 'cgi' (/usr/lib/python3.8/cgi.py)) : I guess we need to move the doctests to some other place.
• 4 ans, 10 mois ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4401 (ImportError: cannot import name 'escape' from 'cgi' (/usr/lib/python3.8/cgi.py)) : This is happening due to name conflict. the import call in lxml `from html import escape as html_escape` is looking into the etgen.html.py file rather then looking into python's base html package.
• 4 ans, 10 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #4401 (ImportError: cannot import name 'escape' from 'cgi' (/usr/lib/python3.8/cgi.py)) : Occurs when I do dt etgen/html.py in etgen.
