• 4 ans, 9 mois ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4413 (You are running on obsolete cached data. Please clear site data manually.) : Thinking about it a bit more, it's rather inefficient to check for every little change in different components. I am thinking maybe it will be better to implement the other [url gitlab.com/lino-framework/lino/-/blob/master/lino/core/kernel.py#L127 method] that I wrote a few months back, Where we can...
• 4 ans, 9 mois ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4413 (You are running on obsolete cached data. Please clear site data manually.) : It seems I still have a little work left on this ticket. Dashboard and LinoBody checks for version_mismatch so it mostly works fine except in params_panel, which does not yet checks for version_mismatch. So, any change in a params_panel will potentially cause error. I will try to fix this too.
• 4 ans, 9 mois ago by Sharif Mehedi in reply to Luc Saffre about #4413 (You are running on obsolete cached data. Please clear site data manually.) : This error message is different then obsolete site cache. This message is shown when there is 500 status code.
• 4 ans, 9 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #4413 (You are running on obsolete cached data. Please clear site data manually.) (1 reply) : I now had the message (There was a problem on the server. If the problem persists, contact your site maintainer.) on Firefox from my notebook. As if the old js code checked the timestamp at "unpredictable" places.
• 4 ans, 9 mois ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4413 (You are running on obsolete cached data. Please clear site data manually.) : I am fairly confident about the solution that I put there now. From next update it should work fine whatever the changes may be.
• 4 ans, 9 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #4413 (You are running on obsolete cached data. Please clear site data manually.) : Also no problem with Chromium on my Notebook. So let's hope that after the next upgrade to Jane it will also work on the FF on my phone. But note that maybe the problem occurs only with certain types of changes in the js code, i.e. when the old js code is incompatible with the new Ajax API.
• 4 ans, 9 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #4413 (You are running on obsolete cached data. Please clear site data manually.) : With Chrome on my mobile I had no problem (same as FF on my notebook).
• 4 ans, 9 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #4413 (You are running on obsolete cached data. Please clear site data manually.) : On my laptop with Firefox, I just had to sign in again and everything works, without any visible warning and without needing to clear site data. On my mobile (also FF) I indeed had the same problem as before: it starts an infinite loop of automatic page reloads and I had to "Delete browsing data" (...
• 4 ans, 9 mois ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4413 (You are running on obsolete cached data. Please clear site data manually.) : I checked that this is (locally) done automatically. But we need to be sure that this works properly for production sites too. I released lino & react to pypi containing the related changes. @hannes , whenever you have time, pull these changes to jane, please. (Note: This might not work on first update, si...
• 4 ans, 9 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #4413 (You are running on obsolete cached data. Please clear site data manually.) : Also it is suboptimal that you need to sign in before Lino warns you. After clearing the site cache you must sign in again.
• 4 ans, 9 mois ago by Luc Saffre about #4413 (You are running on obsolete cached data. Please clear site data manually.) : It's great that the detection of obsolete site data now works. But the end user still needs to know how to delete it manually. Why can't this just be done automatically?
