Seems that we do need a db model for storing "unsatisfied invoiceables", invoice items that are not yet (fully) satisfied.

The result will be just a new model "Rule" or "Transition" in the standard xl invoicing plugin where a site admin can configure e.g. that delivery notes get "satisfied" by invoices. And the xl sales.InvoiceItem will simply inherit from InvoiceGenerator. The devil is of course hid...
