Sphinx needs it e.g. for putting the "online link" in the footer of each page. For most code repositories it is stored in the SETUP_INFO. But what about pure doctree repos like lf, ug etc.

Yes, this one is fixed, but there is another interrelationship: rstgen itself still imports atelier. In order to set the current_project during sphinxconf.configure(). And also it needs get_project_from_path() in certain cases. Seems that my move was a mistake. Maybe I should even move sphinxcon...

And rstgen has no doctree of its own, only a README file. Instead of giving rstgen yet another doctree, I made for rstgen what we actually do for all the lino packages: I say that the atelier doctree...

Not sure about the documentation, but it seems to bee minimal anyway. The main problem is that it requires another pypi release for rstgen and atelier and is not backwards-compatible. All inv bd will break when the versions don't match.
