And I would suggest to split the SITE.build_site_cache into two different parts, so that one only builds the lino_xxx_xx.json (so that it is faster). PS> react is now good to work with resp.clear_site_cache. please see my previous comment.

(I will put react to look for clear_site_cache). On the other hand SITE.build_site_cache may take longer than the timeout of a request (made from the browser).
