#6166 (Use the original django.contrib.auth instead of lino.core.auth)
by Luc Saffre · in Developers · assigned to Luc Saffre
Kurzbeschreibung
The lino.core.auth package (5 files) "contains a copy of code from django.contrib.auth that needed a little adaptation for Lino". I remember vaguely that the problem is Django's permission system, which uses database models Group and Permission. But this forking-away from the original has a price: for example security, and also the fact that many Django plugins can't be use in Lino. We could go back without loosing Lino's class-based permission approach, Lino could populate the Permission and Group models from its user_types.
