- 1 week, 1 day ago by Luc Saffre about #7058 (How to write an email to all members of a group) : I added yet another feature: new filter parameter "member_in_group" on users.Users (when the groups plugin is installed)
Because I must send a welcome email to the 12 users who agreed to test the new platform, and I refuse to click 12 times. - 1 week, 1 day ago by Luc Saffre about #7058 (How to write an email to all members of a group) : Thunderbird does NOT want Lino to use email.utils.formatattr(). Addresses in a To: field must be formatted as "Firstname Lastname <email>". It even parses an address like "Hans, Gerd & Vera Altenberg <ha@berg.com>" as expected.
- 1 week, 1 day ago by Luc Saffre about #7058 (How to write an email to all members of a group) : According to RFC 5322 the correct delimiter for recipients in the
To:header is the comma (,). MS Outlook is an exception, it wants semicolons, but you can configure it to behave correctly. - 1 week, 1 day ago by Luc Saffre about #7058 (How to write an email to all members of a group) : I tried several approaches and right now i use a new displayfield Group.mail_recipients, which can be copied into Thunderbird's To: field and gets parsed correctly.
