Of course,

sudo apt install sqlite3

sudo apt install python-django

already done.

  • 5 years, 6 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4098 (Lino dev env setup issue) : Oh, it seems that one instruction was missing on the gh2gl page:
    $ git remote --set-upstream git@gitlab.com:lino-framework/XXX.git master
  • 5 years, 6 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4098 (Lino dev env setup issue) : This maybe helps to diagnose and understand: [url www.atlassian.com/git/tutorials/syncing].
  • 5 years, 6 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4098 (Lino dev env setup issue) : The "remote" seems okay, but seems that the "upstream" is not defined.

  • 5 years, 6 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4098 (Lino dev env setup issue) : Seems that your clones aren't up-to-date. Run "pp git pull". But update your remotes first (because today i moved 8 repositories from GH to GL). Let's have a Jitsi meeting to look at it together. (But not now, I'd like to sleep first.)

    Configuration error: There is a programmable error in your configuration file:

  • 5 years, 6 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4098 (Lino dev env setup issue) : Next step for you as a future docs contributor is to try: "go noi ; inv bd".
  • 5 years, 6 months ago by hannes about #4098 (Lino dev env setup issue) : Setting up Lino contributor environment works: www.lino-framework.org/team/install/index.html
    If one starts from default debian install, all chain of commands works well until $ cd ~/lino/env/repositories/book/lino_book/projects/team $ python manage.py prep $ python manage.py runserver

  • 5 years, 6 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4098 (Lino dev env setup issue) : Hannes, you can now simply skip to the [url www.lino-framework.org/contrib/index.html#get-started Contributor Guide] (which anyway starts by throwing away the dev environment).
  • 5 years, 6 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4098 (Lino dev env setup issue) : Yes, now I see that the issue had been visible for 5 days, I just didn't have time to care for it: [url travis-ci.com/github/lino-framework/getlino/builds/222392189] (Which just shows once more that Lino is getting too big for a single person, so it's nothing new...)
  • 5 years, 6 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4098 (Lino dev env setup issue) : This issue is should be covered by the getlino test suite. But I'd like to check whether that's true.
  • 5 years, 6 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4098 (Lino dev env setup issue) : 'DurationField' object has no attribute 'db_collation' comes "just" because of Django 3.2.0. The developer install instructions use the PyPI version. I should just release Lino and XL to PyPI.
