• 3 aastat, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #4565 (class 'lino.core.actions.ShowTable' has no run_from_ui() method) : The welfare test suite shows a few more edge cases where this change is breaking things.
• 3 aastat, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #4565 (class 'lino.core.actions.ShowTable' has no run_from_ui() method) : Another side effect: I removed two menu entries "Reports -> Sales -> Sales invoice journal" and "Reports -> VAT -> Purchase invoice journal" because they use slave tables without a master instance (and I guess that they didn't work anyway).
• 3 aastat, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #4565 (class 'lino.core.actions.ShowTable' has no run_from_ui() method) : As a first side effect I merged the ActorRequest class into the ActionRequest class because this differentiation had become useless.
• 3 aastat, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #4565 (class 'lino.core.actions.ShowTable' has no run_from_ui() method) : It took us 8 months to reproduce this issue... and maybe fixing it won't be trivial as well. The adequate response for this should be to raise a django.core.exceptions.BadRequest because it's a slave table and no master instance has been specified.
• 3 aastat, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #4565 (class 'lino.core.actions.ShowTable' has no run_from_ui() method) : Ha! I stumbled into the explanation for this traceback (which continues to come now and then): On [url luc.lino-framework.org/blog/2021/0616.html one of my blog pages] there was a hard-coded link to [url jane.mylino.net/api/comments/CommentsByRFC], and of course this link gets visited by robots :-) ...
• 3 aastat, 10 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #4565 (class 'lino.core.actions.ShowTable' has no run_from_ui() method) : Meanwhile we had upgrades and the issue is still there on jane.
• 4 aastat, 3 kuud ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4565 (class 'lino.core.actions.ShowTable' has no run_from_ui() method) : We had issues with CommentsByRFC. But I took care of it. In local noi1r we have no problem. But we hadn't upgraded jane in quite a long time.
• 4 aastat, 3 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #4565 (class 'lino.core.actions.ShowTable' has no run_from_ui() method) : I think the traceback can be reproduced by opening [url 127.0.0.1:8000/#/api/comments/CommentsByRFC] when a noi1r is running. One thing is to have the serer return a 400 Bad Request response (not a 500 Internal Server Error). Another thing is that the client obviously issued this useless AJAX reques...
• 4 aastat, 3 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #4565 (class 'lino.core.actions.ShowTable' has no run_from_ui() method) : From the traceback we might try to (a) theoretically understand what's happening (Lino is trying to run the method on a class object) or (b) add a better error message such a case.
• 4 aastat, 3 kuud ago by Luc Saffre in reply to Sharif Mehedi about #4565 (class 'lino.core.actions.ShowTable' has no run_from_ui() method) : I didn't yet find a reproducible recipe. Seems that it comes when some static file is missing. Django wants to respond using some template, and some variable 'name' is not in the context when evaluating the template.
• 4 aastat, 3 kuud ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4565 (class 'lino.core.actions.ShowTable' has no run_from_ui() method) (1 reply) : From which site (or demo site) does it comes from?
• 4 aastat, 3 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #4565 (class 'lino.core.actions.ShowTable' has no run_from_ui() method) : Here is a traceback:
