- 3 months, 1 week ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I also had to release lino and xl to pypi.
- 3 months, 1 week ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : Yes, after releasing avanti to pypi it passed. Now same story for amici.
- 3 months, 1 week ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : Now the getlino configure passes in test_production_server_mysql_nginx. We are advancing. Now we have an Exception: 20250523 get_layout_handle for ShowDetail on avanti.Clients failed (Invalid data element 'cal.EntriesByProject' in lino_avanti.lib.avanti.models.ClientDetail on lino_avanti.lib.avanti....
- 2 years, 4 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : The getlino test suites are still failing on GitLab. Even the test_production_server_mysql_nginx (which worked some time ago) is failing with "mysql: unrecognized service". Who wants to take this ticket? This is important but not urgent, so it's a great occasion to learn about how to install Lino an...
- 3 years, 4 months ago by hannes about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : In gitlab runner's conf of bombur session_timeout was 1800, i changed this to 18000 and set getlino pipeline to run again.
- 3 years, 4 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : @hannes and @8lurry could you please try to work on this together.
- 3 years, 6 months ago by Luc Saffre in reply to Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : Let shop wait. I have local changes in shop caused by my work in publisher. I asked Hannes to try a next installation tonight.
- 3 years, 6 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) (1 reply) : Shop is failing, I don't have pypi access to shop either.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I released tera and voga to pypi. According to tested_applications in getlino/ci/test_production_server.sh, shop might be the next failure.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : OK, I'll do it, then.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I don't have pypi access to tera
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I guess that this failure is because tera is not released to PyPI yet. Can you do this, @8lurry?
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : tera is failing from application code, see [url gitlab.com/lino-framework/getlino/-/jobs/4003034724 pipeline]
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I published rstgen to pypi
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : getlino is failing now because rstgen requires docutils
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I don't have much disk space available on cosi5. That's probably the reason why the linod process is not able to run. I will see what I can do about it.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I told one of the pipeline to run on LF runner. let's see what happens there.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : The latest failure in book is related to linod: [url gitlab.com/lino-framework/book/-/jobs/3963566623]
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : startsite doesn't have anything interactive. My PC is faster I will deploy a runner from my pc. and see how it goes.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : Maybe it is locked in an interactive prompt that waits for answer?
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : in cosi5 it makes sense, cosi5 is slower
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : wow, the getlino pipeline takes more then 3 hours 30 minutes :D
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : gitlab runner has 1 hour limit for a job. I will look how I can increase it.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I am releasing lino to pypi. to see if getlino ci is okay now.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I will increase the wait count to 10 seconds
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : wow. from the looks of it, 5 second wait is not enough to have the worker process running cosi5. It's too low on resources.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre in reply to Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I tried to find where increase the timeout... no success yet. Any idea?
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre in reply to Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : We need to increase this timeout, then.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) (3 replies) : After the mentioned releases to pypi, getlino gl now says a timeout furing runworker:
subprocess.TimeoutExpired: Command '['python', 'manage.py', 'runworker', 'linod_noi1']' timed out after 1 seconds Error: . /usr/local/lino/lino_local/noi1/env/bin/activate && python manage.py migrate --noinput ende... - 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : i also released lino, xl and noi. Sharif please continue: release all apps that are being tested in getlino.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : i release synodal, etgen, rstgen, atelier to pypi.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : Found it: the description= in setup_info was a list instead of being a string.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : Same error also with "python setup.py egg_info".
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : Oops: inv sidst in synodal says "AttributeError: 'list' object has no attribute 'split'"
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : AttributeError: 'Repository' object has no attribute 'extra_deps' : that's because of my recent change in synodal. Must release things to PyPI.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : Please let's advance on this.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : for the time being, I added 'atelier' to 'help.get_requirements'.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : The real solution will be a fundamental design change: instead of storing the public_url (the only information needed for intersphinx) in setup_info.py, we would store it in the synodal package. But don't hurry with this. I guess that this change will cause an avalance.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : A quick workaround is (probably) to add a get_requirement() to the help plugin
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : lino/config/makedocs/conf.tpl.py says from rstgen.sphinxconf import interproject which says from atelier.projects import get_project_from_module That's the root of the problem.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : Any update on this? We can probably have a Jitsi session.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : getlino startsite cosi cosi1 on gitlab is now failing due to unresolved atelier dependency.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : Indeed users.fixtures is not included in the packages of the last pypi release of cosi.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre in reply to Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : Sorry, false alarm... But I added another diagnostic command to getlino startsite. It shows the config dirs, which are similar to the fixtures dirs in that they get "discovered".
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) (1 reply) : Ha! I guess that it is a packaging problem! The fixtures aren't included in the PyPI version! (just a guesss... not yet confirmed..)
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I see that the "Loading data from..." lines do NOT mention the users fixtures.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I checked the settings between a local cosi and cosi1 from getlino ci. I don't see any reason why the users demo fixtures wouldn't be installed. See: [url jane.mylino.net/media/uploads/2023/03/cosi1_settings_diff.txt diff].
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : The failure disappeared after manually removing synodal.py script from my env's bin directory.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I successfully released synodal 23.3.1 to PyPI (actually I should have taken 23.3.0 but i was in the clouds), but now "inv test" in synodal is saying pkg_resources.VersionConflict: (synodal 23.3.1 (/home/luc/work/synodal), Requirement.parse('synodal==23.1.1'))
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre in reply to Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : Congratulations for finding the explanation!
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) (1 reply) : synodal was being installed. but we had "synodal.py" in the scripts of setup_info which was putting it in env/bin directory which makes it an executable and not an importable package. I removed it from scripts.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) (1 reply) : Next error is "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'synodal'". I have seen this before on GL, and remember that I didn't find an explanation...
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I also removed the apache test variant from the gitlab-ci.yml file
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre in reply to Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I now released avanti to pypi. Yes, it's a bit counter-intuitive to release a new version just to satisfy some test suite.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre in reply to Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : I confess that I didn't write a changelog entry "renamed ProblemsByOwner to MessagesByOwner". I only wrote "Rename :class:`checkdata.Problem` to :class:`lino.modlib.checkdata.Message` (2022-09-06).
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre in reply to Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : So our failure on GitLab is because avanti was not released to PyPI.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre in reply to Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : There is no class ProblemsByOwner in our code base. And I remember that I renamed checkdata.ProblemsByOwner to checkdata.MessagesByOwner some time ago.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) (4 replies) : I look at [url gitlab.com/lino-framework/getlino/-/jobs/3854841867 the latest CI result] and see "Exception: Problem installing fixture '/usr/local/lino/lino_local/avanti1/env/lib/python3.9/site-packages/lino_avanti/lib/households/fixtures/demo.py': lino_avanti.lib.contacts.models.PersonDetail on li...
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : locally, getlino startsite cosi cosi1 works even with the latest pypi version of lino, xl and cosi. I am not sure yet what could go wrong in the getlino pipeline.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre in reply to Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : No. Let's skip this case for now because we don't need Apache.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : technical issues related to administrative commands are fixed now and there's still failure because of some problem in the code.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) (1 reply) : should I try to make getlino work with apache and linod?
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Sharif Mehedi about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : the problem with import statement on get_channel_layer was already fixed, but it was not available on pypi. I am making another release of lino to pypi
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : At least the test_production_server_mysql_nginx job should pass before Hannes tries again.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : The problem with #4629 reported by @hannes shows why the getino test suite is important. A stupid failure like the one encountered by hannes breaks the whole thing. When something like this happens to somebody who just wants to give Lino a try, then we missed an opportunity.
- 3 years, 7 months ago by Luc Saffre about #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab) : Created new Ticket #4876 (Make getlino green on GitLab).
