• 2 Jahre, 4 Monate ago von Luc Saffre about #5623 (Replace memo parser by markdown?) : I discovered and fixed a bug in the markdown version of the laundry fixture in cms. Ran pull.sh on [url cms1.mylino.net]. TODO: photos are still broken.
• 2 Jahre, 4 Monate ago von Luc Saffre about #5623 (Replace memo parser by markdown?) : I made a series of minor changes in cms because the public demo was quite pointless right now.
• 2 Jahre, 4 Monate ago von Luc Saffre about #5623 (Replace memo parser by markdown?) : Oops I noticed that currently markdown is being used for every BasePreviewable also when use_markdown is False. I guess that we don't want this.
• 2 Jahre, 4 Monate ago von Luc Saffre about #5623 (Replace memo parser by markdown?) : Now I pushed my work of the last days. Wrote a [url dev.lino-framework.org/changes/2024.html#d0528 changelog entry].
• 2 Jahre, 4 Monate ago von Luc Saffre about #5623 (Replace memo parser by markdown?) : I will now push my work (in 5 repositories) because the test suite passes and maybe @8lurry and I will have a look at it. When this is True, the Page.body fields contain markup source code, and the demo fixture with the fictive website of a laundry shop works differently. When I set use_markup to True in the settings.py of cms1 and run pm prep, I can see the result, which ...
• 2 Jahre, 4 Monate ago von Luc Saffre about #5623 (Replace memo parser by markdown?) : My test suite now passes, but I'm not yet satisfied. Rather than making a new plugin "wiki", I will add an attribute "use_markup" to the pages plugin.
• 2 Jahre, 5 Monate ago von Luc Saffre about #5623 (Replace memo parser by markdown?) : I have first results on my computer. Seems that we will simply replace "pages" by "wiki". Seems that we don't need the memo commands any more because we have the published short urls. These can be used for the src of images.
• 2 Jahre, 5 Monate ago von Luc Saffre about #5623 (Replace memo parser by markdown?) : (1) If we want content management in Lino, we need Markdown because it has a syntax for defining headings. (2) memo and markdown can't be combined because they both use brackets as primary syntax delimiter. Hence (3) we should stop using memo and start using markdown if we want content management.
• 2 Jahre, 5 Monate ago von Luc Saffre about #5623 (Replace memo parser by markdown?) : After reading more, I changed my plan. I had a closer look at marko, mistune and python-mardown. Normal external inks are standardized in Markdown (see [url daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/basics Markdown: basics]), but what about our memo syntax for linking to arbitrary database objects? Close...
• 2 Jahre, 5 Monate ago von Luc Saffre about #5623 (Replace memo parser by markdown?) : After reading [url stackoverflow.com/questions/27349951/parse-and-traverse-elements-from-a-markdown-file this discussion] I think that I will try with [url github.com/frostming/marko marko]. And I will start with a new plugin "wiki", which replaces pages.
• 2 Jahre, 5 Monate ago von Luc Saffre about #5623 (Replace memo parser by markdown?) : Other sources of inspiration: The [url docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/markdown.html GitLab Flavored Markdown (GLFM)] documentation page and [url datatracker.ietf.org/doc/statement-iesg-handling-ballot-positions-20220121/ Handling Ballot Positions], an example of a document produced by the IETF.
• 2 Jahre, 5 Monate ago von Luc Saffre about #5623 (Replace memo parser by markdown?) : I also created a wiki page on GitHub: [url github.com/lsaffre/commondata/wiki]
• 2 Jahre, 5 Monate ago von Luc Saffre about #5623 (Replace memo parser by markdown?) (1 Antwort) : I am glad/relieved that also GitLab wiki doesn't support headings inside a page. You must create a new page for every section.
• 2 Jahre, 5 Monate ago von Luc Saffre about #5623 (Replace memo parser by markdown?) : I played with the GitLab wiki: created a [url gitlab.com/lino-framework/book/-/wikis/home wiki page for the book repository]
• 2 Jahre, 5 Monate ago von Luc Saffre about #5623 (Replace memo parser by markdown?) : Created new Ticket #5623 (Use markdown text editor for pages.Node?).
