  • 2 years, 4 months ago by Johana Amorin about #5635 (Developer guide) (2 replies) : the git pull was successful, but now I dont´ have the projects files like manege.py settings.py and the others files. This for allprojects.
  • 2 years, 4 months ago by Johana Amorin about #5635 (Developer guide) : I did it now, but I have some conflicts, I'm solving it
  • 2 years, 4 months ago by Johana Amorin about #5635 (Developer guide) : OK!!
  • 2 years, 4 months ago by Luc Saffre about #5635 (Developer guide) : Yes, we renamed lino_xl.lib.ledger to lino_xl.lib.accounting some weeks ago (#5593). I guess that you need to pull the latest versions of all repositories. Did you run "pp git pull"?
  • 2 years, 4 months ago by Johana Amorin about #5635 (Developer guide) : If I try to run the server or use the shell in cosi4 and cosi5 to test something I get: "Exception: lino_xl.lib.ledger has no attribute use_pcmn". Maybe I need to do some update or pull?
  • 2 years, 4 months ago by Johana Amorin about #5635 (Developer guide) : When I try to use the shell in the lydia project to show the menu I get: "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'lino_xl.lib.ledger.utils'". I tryed do it in the polly project to see if I can use "show_menu" and it's works without problems. I'm checking this.
  • 2 years, 4 months ago by Johana Amorin about #5635 (Developer guide) : So far I have been checking that everything is working as described in the guide and studying it. My goal is to finish next week and start doing other useful things. I still have the section “customize things” and “widgets” to finish it.
  • 2 years, 4 months ago by Johana Amorin about #5635 (Developer guide) : I have been studying the Site class and how it used in my Lino application, I also studied the source code. I followed the guide to the python fixtures , I created some demo fixtures for my test sites as in the guide end everythingis created correctly in the database. Now I'm going to continue with ...
  • 2 years, 4 months ago by Johana Amorin about #5635 (Developer guide) : Perfect!!
  • 2 years, 4 months ago by Luc Saffre about #5635 (Developer guide) : I reviewed the Introduction to choicelists page and rewrote the [url dev.lino-framework.org/dev/choicelists.html#customizing-choicelists Customizing choicelists] section so that it no longer needs a hidden hack.
  • 2 years, 4 months ago by Luc Saffre about #5635 (Developer guide) : Ha! Once this night I woke up and saw the explanation: it is not "allowed" to create a new actor class after startup. The docs/dev/choicelists.rst file contains the following comment: .. hack: the MyColors choicelist is not actually part of the application  because we defined only in this doctest. ...
  • 2 years, 4 months ago by Luc Saffre about #5635 (Developer guide) : But "python -m doctest docs/dev/choicelists.rst" runs without error. That's a good riddle! I am giving up for now. Maybe somebody else finds the explanation?
  • 2 years, 4 months ago by Luc Saffre about #5635 (Developer guide) : That's indeed strange: when I manually play back the code snippets in [url dev.lino-framework.org/dev/choicelists.html], I get a traceback:
    >>> rt.show(MyColors) Traceback (most recent call last):  File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>  File "/home/luc/work/lino/lino/api/rt.py", line 37, in show    re...
  • 2 years, 4 months ago by Johana Amorin about #5635 (Developer guide) : I did not dwell too much on the "AsertionError" mentioned above. Everything else in the examples in the "Choicelists" section and "Introduction to permissions" works correctly as in the guide. I also studied the source code regarding permissions, roles and users types.
  • 2 years, 4 months ago by Johana Amorin about #5635 (Developer guide) : In the Choice List section, I can define it without problems as in the example, but I can´t show it as a table, when I use "rt.show(MyColors)" I get an "AssertionError". It seems that the rigth action is not found to display the table. I´m checking this
