1 aasta, 4 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : book/docs/plugins/peppol/documents.rst:185 currently fails with an UnexpectedException. I asked from the Ibanity forum: I read that "status" attribute in the OutboundDocument resource is deprecated and I'm now supposed to read "technicalStatus". But it looks like the resource returned in a sandbox d...

1 aasta, 5 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) (1 reply) : The bug was indeed a simple typo. But the next surprise is more serious: Peppol refuses negative amounts for invoice lines. TIM uses lines with negative amount to indicate explicit discounts.
1 aasta, 5 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) (1 reply) : I am working on the resend_document action. I'm testing it on the field.
1 aasta, 5 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Another thing to do: the ResendDocument action should not just mark the document for getting resent during next CheckPeppol run but should send it immediately.
1 aasta, 5 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Next steps: (1) I started a new data import for nols: check the results (2) import data for fijal, (3) send a fictive invoice from nols to fijal, (4) start running tim2lino daily without initdb (i.e. import only changed data).
1 aasta, 5 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Uff! For the first time in history I managed to get Ibanity to accept a real invoice from Lino. Of course it gives an error because the customer is not registered to Peppol: [{'code': 'error-customer-not-registered', 'detail': "Identifier 'iso6523-actorid-upis::9925:be0607948389' is not registered ...
1 aasta, 5 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : And here comes the second upgrade to Jane today. Because I'll test update_supplier() directly in our production site. Writing full tests would be much work, and because anyway this functionality will probably be used only by us and only on Jane.
1 aasta, 5 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : TODO: implement update_supplier(). I realized only now that we didn't yet have this.
1 aasta, 5 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) (1 reply) : I will now release to Jane because I have an optimization in peppol_sync to test.
1 aasta, 5 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) (1 reply) : Here is the next error message. Now Peppol complains because the lines have too many decimal positions. Which mans that Lino must *not* loop over what we call "invoice items" when rendering what Peppol calls "invoice lines" because a trading invoice can contain many items with small amounts, which a...
1 aasta, 5 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I pushed my changes to increase decimal places for prices in invoice lines from 2 to 4. Local test suite passes, but we have no example invoice that covers these cases, so I'll test it out on the real data.
1 aasta, 5 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) (1 reply) : I have a next Peppol error message: No transmissionId in {'data': {'id': 'f1489f0e-29aa-4885-ba75-9076e371b6f6', 'type': 'peppolInvoice', 'attributes': {'createdAt': '2025-04-29T05:46:46.501Z', 'errors': [{'code': 'invalid-schematron', 'detail': '[BR-CO-17]-VAT category tax amount (BT-117) = VAT cat...
1 aasta, 5 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : todo: run tim2lino without initdb
1 aasta, 6 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I'm now importing tim2lino for the two sites on bombur. When this is done, I can continue to play with the Ibanity API.
1 aasta, 6 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Uff! I got the sales invoices to pass through the new validation rules! Interpreting error messages of an XML validator is not always trivial.
1 aasta, 6 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I'm now testing the invoices generated by Lino on Ecosio with the rule set "OpenPeppol UBL Invoice (2024.11) (aka BIS Billing 3.0.18)", which is mandatory for Ibanity. What a pity that I didn't know this earlier. Until now I had been validating with "UBL Invoice 3.0". Right now my next Error messag...
1 aasta, 6 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) (1 reply) : I wrote a simple action PeppolSendable.create_outbound... it shows up... but clicking on it gives a js console error message "Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: s is undefined".
1 aasta, 6 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : And we don't need a fourth VoucherStates "sent" when we have a virtualfield "Sent".
1 aasta, 6 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I got answers from Ibanity support: I had been validating the generated XML against the wrong variant of Peppol validator. There are actually hundreds of variants but at least for Ibanity I must use this one. While testing, I realized that Lino is still missing a link to jump from the sales invoice ...
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) (1 reply) : todo: what to do with fields like partner_ref. Some sites want this field, others don't.
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : todo: add is_outbound to CompanyDetail and JournalDetail.
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I changed the verbose name "Peppol acces" back to "Ibanity supplier". Because the word "access" is too strange for a database model...
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : But who knows. Maybe it turns out to be useful that Ibanity suppliers are linked to a company. Especially because with the fix_all_problems which I added yesterday it is now relatively intuitive. I also changed the verbose_name of ibanity.Supplier to "Peppol access". Not sure whether this is the nec...
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Today I realized that it is pretty useless to link ibanity.Supplier to a company (isn't it?). Something to meditate tonight.
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I optimized the suppliers detail window and fixed a bug in data checker. TODO: find a better verbose_name than "Supplier".
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : TODO: write a watch_tim procedure that imports new invoices and suppliers from the legacy database.
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : TODO: write two demo tours for the two ibanity scenarios. In noi1r when I create a supplier for Bernd Brechts Bücherladen, it sets the country to Estonia. Should be Germany.
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I pushed another set of changes. Adding a new upload shortcut "source document" caused quite some changes in doctests and fixtures, especially in welfare.
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : todo: the embedded pdf version of an invoice isn't decoded correctly into a file. And Lino must assign an upload type to the pdf file so that end users can find it easily.
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Todo: the ↗ of the ibanity.InboundDocument.voucher opens the invoice using the default table for vat.AccountInvoice instead of ibanity.ReceivedInvoices
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Todo: a quicklink for running the sync_ibanity system task.
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : We should have a separate detail view for accounting invoices that get imported via Peppol.
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : When receiving an XML invoice, Lino now reads the total amount and inserts an item with the provider's default account. It ignores most other information in the XML file. Anyway the end users will probably want to manually review the incoming invoices.
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I pushed my work of the last days (in lino, xl, book, prima and others).
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : NB I enhanced the make_captured_image() function so that it supports a filename. I use this to create attachments from an incoming Peppol invoice.
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : The XML of an incoming invoice can contain multiple binary attachments. And we don't want Lino to parse the XML each time a list of download links to the attached files of an invoice is requested. So we probably want to use the uploads plugin. Or should I reactivate the inbox plugin? This plugin ha...
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : TODO: Where exactly should create_from_ubl() store the attached files? In an uploads.Volume? Or in a subdir of media? Or in a subdir of static? These attached files are less valuable than the raw inbound xml file because the latter contains them as embedded binary objects.
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : TODO: add an attribute Voucher.pdf_file; create_from_ubl() must save the attached files; add a link to open the attached files in inbox.
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Maybe my last question before starting integration: Is it common practice to attach a PDF version when sending an invoice? And is this done by adding a cac:AdditionalDocumentReference element?
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : One last thing to do before starting the integration phase is importing the inbound documents.
1 aasta, 7 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Uff, I finally got the invoices generated by Lino in cosi1 to pass on Ecosio! The file lino_xl/lib/vat/config/vat/peppol-ubl.xml contains a lot of work!
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : TODO: finish VAT categories, fix Ecosio error messages, adapt the test suite.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Before starting the integration phase with Ibanity, i want to finish the validation of invoices. The xml invoices generated by Lino do not yet fully validate on Ecosio. It currently says "Invoice line net amount MUST equal (Invoiced quantity * (Item net price/item price base quantity) + Sum of invoi...
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) (1 reply) : Uff, I committed my work about Peppol of the last days. I'm far from having finished, but I'm advancing.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I'm still thinking about where to store the xml files. Incoming xml files are potentially valuable data (similar to uplads) while outgoing xml files are merely cache files (similar generated pdf files).
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) (1 reply) : TIL that we probably need another database model "Customer" because otherwise we would need for each incoming document another Ibanity request to find the VAT id of the partner.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Today I finally started with importing an XML document into a Lino voucher. It's only on my computer right now.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I must define the ibanity data checkers only when with_suppliers is True, but *not* only when credentials are defined. Because otherwise I'll never get the doctests pass. Of course. But it took me some time to realize this.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I am having a failure in docs/plugins/accounting.rst which seems to be caused by some other doctest modifying the database content.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I fixed a series of doctest failures in book. TODO: Talk about how to organize this.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) (2 replies) : Before starting to parse them, I also should try to get local validation running.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Lino now checks the inbox for new inbound documents. Next step will be to download them and create accounting.AccountInvoice instances from them. This will be fun, we will parse the xml file.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : The sync_ibanity() background task has now three steps: collect_outbound(), send_outbound() and followup_outbound(), and this seems all I can do about outbound documents as long as I am only in sandbox mode. Tomorrow I'll start with the inbound documents.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : The ibanity plugin injects a checkbox field "is_outbound" into contacts.Journal and into contacts.Partner, This field should be checked (1) for journal SLS and (2) for some partners. It must not be set for partners without a vat_id.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : The sync_ibanity() background task now has two parts: (1) load new invoices into the Peppol outbox and (2) send the invoices of the outbox to Ibanity. After sending the voucher's state is set to "sent". TODO: Make sure that simple end users cannot deregister a voucher that has been sent; refuse (de)...
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : TODO: I now have two tables "Outbox" and "Sent". How to get the invoices from former to latter? Do we want to give users a possibility to manually select them one by one? In real life the users want everything to go automatically... that's for tomorrow.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Today i started to see that we will have 2 database models OutboundDocument and InboundDocument.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I asked the following question in the Ibanity Slack forum: Hello, I am working on implementing Ibanity support for Lino. The Ibanity API documentation has three very similar sections about outbound documents: Invoice, Credit Note and Document. Everything seems to be the same for these three section...
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I scheduled a 2nd meeting with the Ibanity sales representative. Maybe I should now pass from "sandbox" mode to "integration" mode. But the sandbox mode was free, now they will want money.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Create and get now work for outbound documents. Of course I am still testing only in the sandbox right now.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I finally jumped back into ibanity. This time I started with outbound documents.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : This morning I had an answer to my email to soluz.io in my inbox. There is a certain hope that we don't need to migrate our TIM customers to Lino because the banks are going to offer usable solutions for importing sales invoices from an XML file.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Lino now also creates suppliers on Ibanity when the supplier_id is empty. Todo: write test cases to cover this.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : The test suites pass on my computer, I published my work in progress (to lino, xl and book).
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I'm advancing in my test suite.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : The data checker for suppliers now (more or less) does its job when the supplier_id is already set. To do next: create a supplier when supplier_id is empty.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Todo: how to organize the tests. Online tests require at least a sandbox certificate, which we don't have on GitLab. And then their sandbox supplier has a fictive VAT id "BE1234567890", which doesn't satisfy the rules. Lino complains with a django.core.exceptions.ValidationError: ['Modulo 97 check f...
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : The synchronization of the suppliers defined in Lino with those defined on Ibanity is done as a data checker. I have first successes: - Supplier object (1) : (★) Some fields need update: onboarding_state, phone, street, street_no, vat_id, zip_code
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I saw my first Peppol registration in noi1r :-) Next steps: load demo data. Which tests can I run in the sandbox?
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I asked another question in the Slack forum: Here is what I imagine so far: I will register my customers in the Ibanity API as end users (suppliers). And then these customers will use the Ibanity API to submit their outbound documents and receive their inbound documents. How does Ibanity API differ...
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : After meditating this I now believe that we don't need a "peppol" plugin, for the end users (Noi) there will just be some plugin settings in the accounting plugin to activate/configure peppol connectivity. But we do need a plugin "ibanity", used in Noi, with a model "Contract" or "Registration", whi...
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Geoffrey (Slack forum) answered my questions and helped me to understand that Peppol support affects two Lino applications: in Lino Noi we must register our customers as Ibanity end users, and Lino Così for the end users. OMG there is much to do!
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I asked a question in the Ibanity Slack team (and I am a bit locked until I understood this): The ibanity e-invoicing API has methods for creating, updating and deleting my suppliers. Why does it have this only for my suppliers and not for my customers?
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I voice-called soluz.io in Mechelen to ask whether they received my email (to which they didn't yet answer). The phone operator knew that the capital of Estonia is Tallinn :-) and she promised to tell her colleague that I called.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Today I advanced with [url dev.lino-framework.org/plugins/peppol.html] (it's far from being finished, but I advanced). And I managed to ask my next question in their Slack forum.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I published my work in progress on the new peppol plugin. The plugin is not yet useful, but the test suite should pass. I use it to explore the Ibanity API, trying to understand how Lino should communicate with it.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I wrote an email to soluz.io but before sending it I need to repair the cosi1 public demo site.
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Another variable that is currently unknown: is Ibanity the right partner for us? What I wrote yesterday fully depends on Ibanity as Peppol AP. I should try at least one other possibility as well. It seems that [url www.soluz.io/general-9 soluz.io] might be a candidate. There are many [url peppol.org...
1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I am still wondering what Hermes will become. Hermes would be the most straightforward solution to our problems if it would accept to upload sales invoices as XML files (which TIM could easily generate). In this case we wouldn't need the Peppol plugin at all. But we don't know it and I don't know wh...

1 aasta, 8 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I had a look at [url www.dolibarr.org/onlinedemo.php dolibarr.org], which is worth a deeper dive some day when we have time. Right now I just wanted to see whether Dolibarr supports e-invoicing. Seems not so.
1 aasta, 9 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Created new Ticket #5876 (tim2lino bridge for Peppol).
1 aasta, 9 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Geoffrey helped me to find the last mistakes in my script. Great! Now I can continue. Next step is to submit a sales invoice.
1 aasta, 9 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Geoffrey answered again on their Slack forum, and it seems that he got it to work, but my script does not work and I don't see any mistake. I wrote [url luc.lino-framework.org/blog/2025/0123.html a next blog post] in order to help him to help me.
1 aasta, 9 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Geoffrey answered, and I did more testing, and reported again in a [url luc.lino-framework.org/blog/2025/0122.html blog post] and copied this blog post to their slack forum.

1 aasta, 10 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I saw the Hermes platform with one of my customers. So my question is still unanswered: how can TIM or Lino upload an XML f...

1 aasta, 10 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I had a phone call with Jean, who described how his accounting software sends invoices via PEPPOL, and afterwards searched for "PEPPOL API": The EU maintains a public REST API for finding companies: [url directory.peppol.eu/public/menuitem-docs-rest-api] and peppol.com has a [url peppol.com/about-p...
1 aasta, 11 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I started a Calc sheet to gather the TIM users who are concerned. 2 aastat, 3 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Cool! The pdf invoice now contains a text "e-invoice: /media/beppol/ubl118.xml" when the customer has a vat id. The xml file gets generated together with the pdf. (Next steps: tidy up and commit, finish validation, contact Hermes and think how to transmit the xml file to an access point.
2 aastat, 3 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : Generating the xml file must not be an independent action, it must rather happen when the pdf file gets generated.
2 aastat, 3 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : The "almost" in my previous comment was important, there is still much to learn. I'm still at 30 errors. Right now it seems that we need 2 identification numbers for each partner: the VAT number and the national company number.

2 aastat, 3 kuud ago by Luc Saffre about #5670 (Support Peppol e-invoicing using Ibanity) : I did more digging. It seems that the VAT id won't be enough. In Belgium there are legal persons like e.g. insurances who are not VatSubjectable and have no VAT id, but they do have a national company number. I'm now wondering whether pyvat accepts these.
